So the episode name is actually, Dave Cormier Gets COLD, the latest episode of Terry Greene’s Gettin’ Air Podcast. I think it’s the first new episode in awhile (or that I’ve caught at least) – NICE Terry!
They lead in with a bit of Dave’s current work; recent book, his role at TRU, kids driving, haning out with Jim Groom (add me to the list of folks that are envious about that opportunity). Eventually they come around to an idea of connecting ID and ID adjacent folks across Canada. It’s an area of interest for sure. When I came into the field, one way I found my way into community was through ACCP/CAID. I had a few flash in the pan experiences as well – so I appreciate when they discuss the struggles of administering and keeping up a community. I joined ATD at one point (didn’t quite find community there and the price tag, wow). I was a member of OTESSA for a year.
In the podcast Terry mentioned IDIGOntario, which we spun up an informal IDIGSask discussion series similar to before I left USASK. As far as I know, that one is still going and is informal Zoom type calls. Since coming to Alberta I’ve considered trying to get an IDIGAlta going but just haven’t found the time or energy to really shop the idea around much.
I love that Dave mentioned a wiki. I’ve been telling everyone – that will listen – for months now that we had a perfect technology for problem X and that it was wiki. So that made me smile.
They didn’t say where they will put the link to sign up, but keep an eye on both Terry and Dave on any social media you’re on and I’m sure you’ll find out more. If you do spot it, drop a comment so I can update this post.

I was in another pan Canada open discussion and told Terry and Dave that they should rope you in.
Also, come back to Sask. Alberta is too weird.
There’s a chance this might end up being the best comment this blog will ever see 😀
Can I get a badge?
Agreed. And ouch.
It would be great to connect with locals too. I keep neglecting to call you up when I’m through YYC.
