I came across this one via Tom Woodward’s Bionic Teaching.
If you land on the page in French there is an English version. Badge AI was created by Philippe Bourque, CEO of Cérebrum and an Artist Engineer from Quebec City. Taking inspiration from Creative Commons, Badge AI offers a framework for creators to show how AI was used in their creative process.
The Creative Commons influence is clear – CC features about six license types built around BY, NC, and SA permissions. Similarly, Badge AI organizes its system by medium (sound, visual, text) with five levels of human/AI interaction for each. After selecting a license, you receive HTML or Markdown code to attach to your work.
This system brings to mind a podcast episode where Brenna Clarke Gray discussed academic integrity. She was the first person I heard advocating for disclosure policies, which stood out among the various academic integrity discussions happening at that time.
